Rich has been playing sax since 1999 and has played at thousands of weddings and parties (even funerals!). Having played alongside Texas on BBC's The One Show, Rich can offer all styles of saxophone music, from chilled jazz to in your face dance music. Fully self-contained with a powerful sound system and backing music, or can jam to your DJ and stand in with your band. Rich can turn his hand to all styles and will happily welcome reasonable requests.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

A broad mix of well known numbers for background music, or the upbeat nature of a dance set.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

If it hosts a wedding in Scotland, I’ve played there. I’ve been to a few in England too.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Most of the jazz greats, soul players and to an extent the modern Ibiza sax players.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Playing alongside Texas on BBC1’s The One Show

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

You’ll need to get in touch to discuss as due to the short performance slot nature of being a saxophonist I am likely to have other bookings to honour. I’ll always do my best to accommodate you but without sufficient notice I cannot guarantee it.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes.

How much time do you need to set up?

Depending on loading constraints, it takes about 20 mins for me to set up after loading in.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

By all means please give me your must have choices and let me know if I should avoid anything.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, but if you need me to jam with a DJ it’s often easier for me to work with their equipment if they’re ok with that.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

With a minimum of 30 days’ notice yes, if I’m doing an all-instrumental version of it. This gives time to learn it and source a backing track (if it exists). That said I will cap such new requests at a maximum of 5. Otherwise if it’s a dance tune I can jam to ir on the spot.
