Playing the Latin sounds of Cuba and Brazil, Ria augments the Latin repertoire with hot improvisations within the styles of; Salsa, Son, Bossa Nova, Cha Cha Cha, Samba and Bolero, to name but a few. Perfect for all types of events and parties, Ria’s rhythmic drive and colourful Latin style of music means that this virtuosic trio is the perfect choice for a variety of events where the music requests may vary from an ‘upbeat dance’ set to a ‘cool’ background vibe! Ria’s musicians are all professional players with considerable experience of performing on the London World music and jazz scenes, as well as touring the UK and abroad. The band offers a flexible line-up of 3 to 5 musicians, offering you choice for your desired sound and musical taste. The core trio comprises; Spanish vocals, keyboard and Latin percussion, and who can be joined by additional musicians who are all part of the Ria team, i.e. flute, trumpet, saxophone, bass guitar. Do you have different line-up options?

The advertised band is a 3 piece comprising: Spanish vocals, Keyboard and Latin Percussion. This can be augmented to a 4, 5, 6 or 7 piece with additional musicians, i.e. Flute, Trumpet, Bass Guitar, Saxophone, second percussion.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We're happy to accommdate set time changes, assuming that the performance length and overall booking time remains the same as when contracted. Any additional timings must be discussed prior to the event.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can provide recorded music between sets in the Latin music style.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1.5 hours before the performance time.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, with advance warning, as we do prepare a running order in advance.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

PA and musical equipment.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. But as this may take us time for music transcription and rehearsalstudio costs, there is a fee of £65.
