Rhythmax

Alberto Christodoulou is a London based drummer, percussionist, educator and composer whose music brings together contemporary electronic sounds with rhythms and influences from around the world. A lifelong musician, Alberto has developed a distinctive approach to rhythm through drum kit and a wide range of percussion instruments, including darbuka, djembe, congas, bongos and davoul. His musical work explores the connection between rhythm, atmosphere and emotion, moving between electronic, contemporary and world influenced sounds. Alongside his work as a performing musician and recording artist, Alberto is the founder and director of Performing Creations Drum Education, where he has spent years teaching and mentoring the next generation of drummers and percussionists. His solo music is an opportunity to explore a more personal side of his creativity, combining rhythm, sound and texture to create music that can be energetic, atmospheric, reflective and cinematic. Based in London, Alberto continues to perform, teach and create new music, drawing inspiration from his Mediterranean background, his experiences as a professional percussionist and his passion for exploring rhythm in new ways.
