Retro Rock Icons are a four piece covers band based in SE London playing popular rock icon songs from the 60’s to the present day. The original band line-up was formed way back in early 2000 (we are now several personnel changes later!) and has continued to perform gigs at pubs, weddings and many private functions across the South of England. Retro’s members include highly experienced musicians whom all have many years experience playing music in various styles and situations, with various previous bands. We have a professional PA rig with a light show that creates a great party atmosphere for our listeners and we take pride in giving a professional performance every time we take to the stage. We just love to see our audience dancing and singing along too! Retro Rock Icons are available for pub/club gigs, weddings, parties and corporate functions. Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes, we could swap the drummer but we love him too much!! Seriously though, as our drummer is in two bands we do have another drummer we could draft in should our 1st choice already be booked with his other project.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

It shouldn't be too much of a problem, just contact us as soon as you know of any timing changes to what we have agreed.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Sure, I usually have a playlist or two I can fall back on to provide ambient music before the gigs and during any breaks.

How much time do you need to set up?

Ideally we would like 1.5 hours to get properly set up and sound checked.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We have a list of songs we know which can be supplied if you would like it.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

All of our equipment is provided as a part of the overall fee.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If there's something you want us to play which isn't in our repertoire we can certainly give it some consideration!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

People seem to really love that we play songs not on the regular covers band set list!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

All sorts of different venues; pubs, clubs and even festivals!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Mainly popular rock artists from the 1960s to the present day.

Pub/Club Gigs4 musicians

We turn up and entertain your pub/club/bar and it's patrons for the night. Standard start time is 8:30pm and finish by 11:30pm, we bring all the equipment needed including PA and lights. Ideally, if the band could get free soft drinks all night too, that would be appreciated!!

Retro Rock Icons played at our pub Ye Olde Whyte Lyon in Locksbottom on the 14th Sept. They arrived nice and early to set up. The band were great. The set list was varied with different genres and eras and absolutely packed full of songs people love to sing along and dance too. Significantly, they play songs that a lot of the other local bands don't cover which makes them seem fresh Wouldn't hesitate to have them back again. Professional, reliable quality act - our customers were very impressed and I hope by sending this review we are not going to be priced out!

As a very keen active fan and booking agent for over 30 bands in the live music scene I totally recommend the band Retro Rock Icons. The band plays an excellent and varied set of classic Rock songs from all eras up to the present day and they certainly get the party going! Retro Rock icons are great bunch of guys too, they have played from average size pubs up to events such as the Petts Woodstock Festival and they always get a great reception. They are always welcomed back by any venue I place them at, so I can wholeheartedly recommend them!
