We are a three or four piece ceilidh band and DJ who play at weddings, corporate events, student balls and all other occasions.

The four piece band comprises of piano, fiddle, 2nd fiddle/guitar and drum kit, and we play Scottish and Irish traditional music along with instrumental covers, so Stripping the Willow to ACDC or ABBA is a high possibility! In addition, we provide a DJ service so that your guests can enjoy both ceilidh dancing and disco music throughout the function.

Reel of Fortune were amazing - my family were up from London and none of them had ever been to a ceilidh before but the guys called the dance so well, great mixing in of covers a lot of fun and the best strip the willow! The band played all my requests and Gareth even stepped in for me when my pianist broke his hand in the lead up to the wedding - he played during my ceremony and a fantastic mix of music for my drinks reception - it was wonderful! Cannot recommend these guys enough - so so good at what they do, complete professional gentleman and all my guests are still talking about how great they were!

I just wanted to express our thanks for playing at our wedding reception on Friday. We loved the mix of traditional ceilidh and ceilidh covers you played, as well as the 80s music. Thanks too for joining in with our guests and taking time to speak to the children - it was much appreciated and made everyone feel part of the evening. We will certainly recommend you to everyone we know!

Customer questions

Can you perform covers?

We play instrumental covers for ceilidh dancing to, but we do not sing so we don't fall under the function band genre.

Do you have different line-up options?

We always offer a line up of fiddle, keyboard and drum kit. An extra fiddle player can be added for an additional cost.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We're happy to negotiate timings, as long as the end time of the performance does not go past midnight. We can play until 1am, but this incurs an additional cost.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can either provide a cable for you to play your own iPod, or we can put on some background music through out DJ software.

How much time do you need to set up?

We need a maximum of 90 minutes to set up, but realistically do it in 60 minutes if access is good.

Do you provide a caller?

Yes! We all call the dances as required.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

If you have any preference of which covers you'd like to be included in the ceilidh dances, then by all means let us know!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?

Yes. All PA and lighting equipment is included in the hire.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We can do! If you give us adequate notice and you have tried to ceilidh dance to the original version of the song, we'll do our best to arrange it for your event free of charge.
