Rebekah Kirk is a singer/songwriter from Glasgow. She has been performing since 2009 and has won many awards for her songwriting.
Rebekah was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She has been performing since 2009 and been writing songs since 2012. She accompanies herself with guitar and piano. In 2015, Rebekah was named Best Emerging Talent after submitting her song Ocean Lullaby to the Recording Festival, she has also gotten to the semi final of the UK Songwriting Competition with three of her original songs. In late 2016 she was picked to be part of a Hit The Road tour which is a project run by the Scottish Music Centre for young musicians specially chosen by the centre who believe they have a bright future in the music industry and at the time she took part she was the youngest person ever chosen. She was also recently crowned ‘Best Busker in Glasgow’ in a recent competition. In late October 2017 she was awarded the Danny Kyle Award at the Paisley Spree and in November 2017 she won the Jim Diamond Award. Her vocal range spans between C#2 - A5. So far, Rebekah has played in venues in Scotland such as the O2 ABC2 (supporting Kawehi), Britannia Panopticon, Hard Rock Cafe (Rockathon 2017), Classic Grand (supporting Jamie McAulay), Barrowlands, Kelvingrove Bandstand (Commonwealth Games Celebrations 2014), Òran Mór (Hit The Road/supporting Frances), PJ Molloys (Hit The Road), The Stove (Hit The Road), The Garage Attic (supporting Stevie Parker), King Tuts Wah Wah Hut (supporting Kerri Watt), Queen Margaret Union, the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (Celtic Connections) & Broadcast (supporting The Baltic States).
