Rebecca Rose

I am a professional cellist based in Worcestershire. I was awarded sholarships to both the Purcell School and the Royal College of music where I studied with awe inspiring teachers Joan Dickson and Steven Doane. I have been lucky enough to have had some fantastic solo performing experiences including playing to HRH Prince of Wales, playing a C minor Vivaldi Concerto at St Martin in the Field accompanied by the London Soloist Orchestra and performed at venues such as Birmingham Symphony Hall, St Johns Smith Square, Regent Hall Oxford Street, Buckingham Palace, Buxton Opera House Theatre, Centenary Square, Birmingham as a chamber musician. Further afield venues include Odessa National Academy of Music and in Tel Aviv the Buchmann Mehta School of Music. At present I am juggling a varied musical career with family life. Inspired by my own teachers, I am a committed teacher myself but my passion is still playing and performing as much as I can. I am passionate about providing very high quality music for weddings and events and love playing solo , performing with Duo Rose and I'm the co owner of The String of Roses. I am also an experienced session musician and can be regularly found recording for many artists including Black Sabbath legend Tony Iommi most recently. My musical tastes are quite eclectic and I enjoy the challenge of something different!
