Norfolk based soprano Rebecca Hunt, graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2010 with a BMus (Hons) degree and is currently studying voice with Professor Susan McCulloch. She has also had the opportunity to be involved in masterclasses with acclaimed tutors such as; Susan Bullock, Robin Bowman, Simon Lepper, Sophie Daneman, Eugene Asti, Stephen Varcoe, Margaret Cable, Elizabeth Ritchie, Elaine Kidd, Terence Albright and Richard Jackson.
Rebecca is in regular demand as a concert soloist and recitalist. Recent concert highlights include Handel’s Messiah in Canterbury Cathedral Crypt, Schubert’s Mass in G, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Haydn’s The Creation and “Little Organ Mass”, Britten’s Ceremony of Carols and Rejoice in the Lamb and Faure’s Requiem. Recent recital engagements have included solo and shared programmes at St Mary and Eanswythe’s Church in Folkestone, St Gregory’s Centre for Music in Canterbury and The Astor Theatre in Deal, Kent. She has also had the pleasure of singing for numerous events for charities such as Pegasus Playscheme, The Orpheus Centre and Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Opera roles and chorus work include 2nd Lady and Spirit (The Magic Flute, Mozart), Youca (L’étoile, Chabrier), Bridesmaid (Trial by Jury, G + S), Gossip (Noyes Fludde, Britten) and Chorus (Dido and Aeneas, Purcell).
Rebecca is available for weddings, funerals and other functions. She is also available for lunchtime and evening recitals.
