The 16th of June was full of brightness and sea breeze. That evening, doors to a new life were opened for a girl, named Rasa, in Klaipeda, Lithuania. The environment in which she grew up was filled with the sound of music. Rasa’s grandfather, an accordionist, conductor and composer brought good mood and entertainment to the home. Her mother is a jazz violinist and teacher. She cared about everything that music touches. The father, artistic director and photographer, captured his family from all angles with his camera. This gave Rasa a chance to learn about the music and art world from early youth. She started playing violin at the age of six in “Kaunas J. Naujalis Music Gymnasium”. Later she moved to the National M. K. Čiurlionis Arts’ School in Vilnius, where she graduated in the violin class of prof. Undinė Jagėlaitė. From 2005 Rasa continued her studies with Jagėlaitė at the Lithuanian Music and Theater Academy. In 2007-2008 she was given the opportunity to study at the Musikhochschule Mannheim (Germany) with prof. Roman Nodel, as a part of Socrates Erasmus program and then as a full-time student till 2010. In 2012 she finished her Mater's, the “Künstlerische Ausbildung” in prof. S. Rabenschlag class. During 2012-2015, Rasa was awarded Orchestra Soloist post graduate (3rd cycle) degree, as well as a degree in Music Pedagogy. In 2016, she was awarded Post graduate (3rd Cycle) Violin Soloist degree (Prof. Susanne Rabenschlag). During 2015/1016 season, she has been playing at Gewandhausorchester Leipzig (Germany) in the 1st Violin section and currently has a trial with Philharmonic Orchestra in London.
