Raquel Martinez

Spanish violinist Raquel Martinez is a current student of violinist Mayumi Fujikawa.  Throughout her years playing violin Raquel has gained experience playing as an orchestral musician; having the opportunity of performing in such venues as the Royal Festival Hall and the Berliner Philarmonie. Through the masterclasses, and concerts Raquel has been involved in, she has had contact with renowned musicians and conductors such as members of the Philharmonia Orchestra, Orquestra do Algarve and Marin Alsop.    Since settling in London Raquel has gained experience not only in the classical field, but also in other genres through a variety of projects.  She has had the opportunity of playing with the rap artist Pepstar in recording a video for Channel 4, and appearing on BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend.    Currently, Raquel is studying for a Masters of Music as a Montagu Cleeve Scholar at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
