Ranglin'

Ranglin' is a 4-piece which can perform in any context, large and small. We are longstanding professional musicians and music educators. We put this band together in 2024 simply because we all love Ernest Ranglin, the most famous Jamaican guitarist no-one has heard about. We have played dozens of gigs since, to all audiences, young and not so young, Jazz listeners and groove shufflers alike. Our sound is cool and highly original, infectious grooves and bass lines, powerful jazz solos, catchy melodies and a few Jamaican all time classics of reggae, ska, calypso, swing and afro-beat in the mix. We fit into small venues, but we can also headline on a large stage, we can keep the volume down or get a whole festival crowd on their feet.
