I started playing the guitar when I was 9. Growing up in Brazil, I was exposed to a large variety of music genres that helped me create my own identity as an artist. Pop and rock are the main genres I perform, but I am strongly influenced by Brazilian rhythms (samba and bossa nova), electric blues, funk and soul. I had my first paid gig when I was 15 in a wedding anniversary, over 10 years ago. I never stopped since then, having many opportunities to perform in weddings, bars, corporate events and private parties. After moving to Germany in 2017, I noticed a high demand for Brazilian music. I connected with some musicians after performing in an Open Mic and we played in many bars, restaurants and private events, always mixing English songs with Brazilian rhythms. Having moved to London in 2019, I am looking forward to using my experience in South America and Europe to provide high quality music and entertainment and do what I love the most in life.

It was a pleasure working with Rafael, he is easy to approach, prompt response and very professional. He has got a wide knowledge of the field and his experience made me comfortable to hire him. I am a photographer and we needed a singer to cover a marriage proposal at the Tower Bridge. Rafael was the perfect fit to work along side. I would definitely recommend him and hire him again when needed.

We hired Rafael for a corporate event in Munich, Germany. We celebrated the "Brazilian Culture Day" and needed someone to perform live Brazilian music. He had a good selection of Brazilian songs covering different genres (bossa nova, MPB, samba, forró, pop) and provided good entertainment and representation of what Brazilian music is. I definitely recommend him!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Versatility: being able to perform different styles, combining English songs with Brazilian rhythms, making the performance very dynamic.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

In Germany: Kennedys bar and restaurant, Kilians Irish Pub, VIB Grill, Cafe Bar Tribu. In Brazil: Paioça do Caboclo, Campinas Hall, Estação São Bento.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Boyce Avenue, Joao Gilberto, Tom Jobim, Prince, Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Queen, Pink Floyd.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Recording a original music video in a concert in Campinas Hall, Brazil.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Just let me know in advance, usually it’s not a problem.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. This is popular request and a playlist can be sent to me and I play before and between the sets. If you’d like a DJ service via our PA after the final set, it can be provided for an extra £150.

How much time do you need to set up?

When playing solo, between 30 mins and 1 hour.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Picking a few songs is completely fine and I’ll make sure to play them in the right moment.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes. I bring PA, guitar and microphone.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I am happy to chat about it, as it may be that I already know the song. Learning up to 3 pieces is absolutely fine and I charge nothing on top!
