Rachel played for Hook Choral Society in their performance of Bob Chilcott’s new Christmas Oratorio. Throughout the work the tenor soloist sings the part of the Evangelist, telling the story, accompanied by flute and harp. Rachel and Jenny Broome combined together superbly to create a beautiful sound. Rachel was very professional and delightful to have with us. I Highly recommend her.

5 years ago, for a Concert in Hove

Rachel performed a recital with piano in 2019 for a celebration of an anniversary year of a church in Hove. She exceeded everyones expectations both in the extraordinary performance and introducing the pieces. She was asked to prepare a programme of English music for a non-concert going audience, which is most restricting. What we got was a really well crafted and well pitched choice of music that were not challenging to our audience but included some hitherto unknown composers to us. It was fantastic to hear local musicians enthusiastically play music by local contemporary composers. It was very satisfying to here all the positive comments during the interval and as people left on their way home. Rachel performed a recital with guitar at another local church in 2018. If the opportunity to host another concert comes then I will surely contact Rachel first. I commend her and the various accompanists that she collaborates with to anyone who reads this.
