Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I don't tend to book more than one event on the day, so as long as you let me know if timings have changed it shouldn't be a problem.

How much time do you need to set up?

Generally I arrive 45 minutes before performance time to set up, tune my harp and warm-up.

Is the transport of your harp included in your quote?

It is indeed I've include all travel costs, including the transport of my harp, in the quotes.

Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?

If it's dry all I'll require is a shaded area (I've pale Scottish skin that burns easily!). If it's raining I'll need full cover as my instrument is valuable and could be damaged.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes of course, hopefully you'll see something you like!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If you have any requests please let me know in plenty of time and I'll see if it will be possible for me to play. I have a maximum of 3 request songs, any extra and there will be an extra fee of £10 per song.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I tailor them especially to the event... making sure that the music is perfectly timed, eg, for walking down the aisle. I am most attentive to details and experienced at reacting to what is happening.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Edinburgh Castle Stirling Castle Gleneagles Hotel One Devonshire Gardens Prestonfield House The Old Course, St Andrews Mount Stuart National Museum of Scotland The Balmoral Blair Castle Dundas Castle Dalhousie Castle Hopetoun House Borthwick Castle Cornhill Castle Blairquhan Castle Wedderburn Castle The Signet Library The Scottish Parliament

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Whilst I'm most at home playing Scottish music, I'm a lover of movie music, and well, I love playing Disney hits on the harp!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

For HRH the Queen and HRH Prince Phillip.
