Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
Energy, spirit, fun, well thought out setlists cradfted for all guests to have a great time. All killer-no-filler nights of anthemic pop/rock/soul/funk/indie/britpop and party tunes.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
As individuals we've performed at everywhere from the local pub to all the big UK arenas, so as musicians we're not intimidated by any venue or stage. As Push To Play we've performed in function rooms, hotels, golf clubs, festivals, marquees, and yes, the local pub too/again!
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Being a 'service' band, we play what you want to hear, rather than bore you with our own choices. Your guests really don't want 2 hours of obscure Springsteen ballads! Safe to say, we have an eclectic range of musical tastes between us that help us deliver an entertaining night for you and your guests playing nothing but anthems all the way.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
As a covers band probably Camper Jam in a huge (Glastonbury sized) marquee with about 3000 people, all jumping and singing every word back to us. A great night had by all.
Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?
The singer will always be the same for any performance by Push To Play. We have a roster of incredible musicians we can draw upon should other regular members become ill etc. Should the singer (Andy) be unable to perform (it hasn't happened yet!) then we would contact the client immediately to discuss before making any alternative arrangements.
Do you have different line-up options?
Our usual line up is Lead Vox/Guitar, Guitar/BVox, Bass/BVox, Drums. We can add to this as required. If you love saxophone then we can add a great sax player. Want three drummers? - done. Fancy a choir, we can hire a choir in - you can have whatever you like added on (of course, everything extra at additional cost).
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
As long as we're kept informed of any changes to your schedule then it shouldn't be a problem at all.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yes we can. That being said, we're not DJ's! This would be a service where we can put together an (for example) iTunes playlist for you and use our iPod (phone) or you can simply pass us your own. Only caveat to that would be that we wouldn't want multiple phones/iPods involved. We provide this service for an additional £100.00
How much time do you need to set up?
It takes us at least an hour to set up. Ideally about 90 mins including a soundcheck, but we realise this isn't always possible at every event. Happy to work with you on this/make the best use of available time/windows. We're pretty self contained and as long as we have easy access we'll be in and set up before you know it.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Mmm, tough one. Probably not (sorry!). Why? Because we've done countless gigs and tried endless permutations of songs and setlists on all sorts of audiences in order to know what will give you all the best experience. Happy to find out about your guests (age range, general preferences etc) and we'll create a set/s to suit.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
For rooms of up to 150 (200 max-ish) then our PA and Lighting equipment is absolutely fine and included in the price (generally most function rooms not a problem at all). For bigger events of over 200 we'll have to hire in bigger PA etc. Hasn't happened yet on direct bookings. You'll be fine. Ideally we'd like around 5m x 3.5m min space to perform.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
Yes. That said, this takes additional time so there would likely be an additional charge. Also, bear in mind we're essentially a guitar based band. If you want us to reproduce electronica, dance, house or heavily orchestrated music - how it comes out is at your own risk! Chat to us about potential choices. If we can do it justice, we will!
