Poppy Rose is a singer and guitarist based in Bath. She performs dreamy acoustic music, eternally laced with fairylights. Think all of your favourite songs, but it's the cosiest versions. Poppy soundtracks nights in local bars creating a relaxed and cosy atmosphere. She also performs at charming wedding ceremonies and receptions, as well as bringing the fun at Taylor Swift and country themed hen and birthday parties across the South West. From 2014-2017, Poppy Rose studied at Leeds Conservatoire, honing her craft and finding her voice. She then moved to Berlin and spent 2018-2019 travelling around Europe playing her songs to packed-out living rooms and bars. With over 100 shows across 6 countries under her belt, the buzz around the tours grew organically and she built a strong name for herself in Germany's singer-songwriter scene.

Poppy was absolutely fantastic. She was in touch in advance, really helpful in terms of song choice. Spent time chatting with the birthday girl and her friends and sand 2 amazing sets. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Would very highly recommend.

Poppy was a huge hit with our daughter and her friends at her birthday celebration. The parents loved the set too. Poppy put together a ‘mini Eras tour’ Taylor Swift set, interspersed with some of her own songs and all of our guests loved it. The children were star struck and several now want Poppy to perform at their birthdays! Thank you Poppy for such a memorable, sparkly and magical evening ❤️

It was a pleasure to meet Poppy who proformed at my husband's birthday party . Poppy was a delight ! Such a warm and welcoming young lady. The collection of songs where such a treat to hear Poppy is very capable and her beautiful singing voice and stage presents was a treat to watch and listen to We thoroughly enjoyed Poppy's singing and song choices ..... Any changes before hand were easy to adjust. Poppy was professional , entertaining and talented. Many friends and family commented how good she was.....and " where did you find her , shes good ! ?" I would most definitely recommend Poppy Rose 🌹 💕

Poppy was enthusiastic and helpful in the weeks leading up to the gig in terms of marketing and fast communication with us about her technical requirements, she helped push ticket sales and sold more tickets than we'd originally planned. Her demeanour was friendly on the day, she came to the venue to set up and sound check many hours before the performance, meaning it was a smooth gig operationally. Poppy not only brought her music but also a cosy atmosphere as well, one which really gelled with our venue. We'd happily book Poppy again in the future.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I create a really cosy dreamy ambience for weddings and dinner parties. I can also bring the fun singalong and dance moments at my Taylor Swift themed birthday and hen parties.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

All sorts! From churches, barns and estates for weddings, I've also played at hen party houses, as well as living rooms, restaurants, bars, cafes - and with my original music I've played at big venues while supporting artists on their European tours, my favourites have been Kantine Am Berghain in Berlin and ArtTheatre in Cologne.

Taylor Swift, Kina Grannis, Colbie Caillat, Julia Jacklin - mainly female singer-songwriters

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I supported James Gillespie on his Germany tour in 2019 at sold-out 250+ capacity venues. The most exciting being Helios37 in Cologne. I also supported Norwegian Jazz group Fieh in Mojo Club Hamburg.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes I can play a playlist of your choosing with my PA before and in between my sets.

How much time do you need to set up?

30 minutes

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes of course, and feel free to message me to add more of your choosing. I'm always happy to learn new songs

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes I bring my own guitar, microphone and amp

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I'm happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
