Pocket Full of Groove are a sensational nine-piece band that provide high energy entertainment at weddings, festivals and all other private or public events. Whilst the band are based in Devon, they have been travelling all over the country playing for wonderful audiences for the past ten years. Whether at big public events or at weddings, PFoG regularly received the same feedback, that the look, sound and repertoire is something that attendees absolutely love and "are still talking about weeks later". The band are fronted by male and female vocals and combine with the three piece horn section to create fabulous backing vocals. This in addition to the exceptional rhythm section. The repertoire ranges from soul, funk, Motown, swing, jive and pop tunes from the 80's through to present day. It has been well described as "more Radio 2 than Radio 1". For events such as weddings, we can cover the entertainment for your whole day including drinks reception music and a disco to finish off your night.

“Pocket Full of Groove absolutely made our wedding! They are a phenomenal band and far beyond any usual wedding band. We knew we wanted to invest in brilliant music as a priority at our wedding and we couldn't have picked any better. We didn't stop dancing, and neither did most of our guests. In addition, the whole process was so easy and James was so approachable the whole time. We were given the option of them playing a first dance song, or learning one, and we were also able to describe exactly our ideas which they catered to specifically. The set Pocket Full of Groove played was absolutely perfect - they are an amazingly talented band and every guest commented on how brilliant they were. They personalised their set to us, and even persuaded the groom to sing along to a spontaneous serenade such was their charisma, charm and powers of persuasion! Overall, I cannot imagine our wedding without Pocket Full of Groove...they made our day immeasurably more fun, more memorable and - frankly- more sweaty! You were incredible!”

Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes and we have a sensational female singer too.

Do you have different line-up options?

We could make the band smaller by only having male vocals and or less horns.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

That's fine! We're very flexible! As long as it still works for us, we'll do everything we can to work around you!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This comes as standard when booking PFoG

How much time do you need to set up?

At least an hour and a quarter to get set up, sound checked and packed away so it's all nice and tidy.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

You can absolutely have some influence on our set list. All we ask is that we put them in the order we're playing it in. That way we get it right musically so that the performance is amazing for you.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 6m by 4m space to perform

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There may be an additional charge for this to pay for the arrangement and rehearsal.
