Pixie Barnes

Like most performers, my drive for singing stemmed from an early age. From 14 I was taught singing by a professional opera singer, who developed my range, depth and vocal control. I achieved grade 5, 6 and 8 in musical theatre and classical singing. I received a scholarship to study my A levels at a renowned drama school, which continued to stimulate my growth and love for singing and performance. Since then, I have studied Psychology at the University of Leeds, maintaining my vocation for singing creating a strong presence and network for myself as an artist. In Leeds, I have performed at Hyde Park Book Club, The Domino, RAG fashion show and Royal Park Pub multiple times. I also had a regular slot at East Village with Readymeal Sound. In London, I’ve performed at The Raven, Next Door Records, Her Majesty’s Theatre and have sung at Silent Pool Gin events in Surrey. Last year I was invited to become part of the collaborative 'Readymeal Sound.' I have been working with them to produce a body of original music and released my first EP in February, which is now at 10,000 streams. We are working on the release of various other singles over the coming months. I finish my Psychology degree this May (2021) and so am looking for singing work over the summer months and the next year to fund my ventures as an independent artist. I can promise you that I have the ability to perform anything you want... whether this is a classical piece at a funeral or wedding ceremony, or background singing an event. I have my own mic and amp and can use backing tracks, or I'm able to get a friend to play guitar/piano with me.
