Phoebe Kirrage was born and raised in Newark, Nottinghamshire. Beginning her musical journey as a chorister at Lincoln Cathedral, she then moved on to study at Wells Cathedral School, Royal Holloway University of London and The Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. After graduating her master's in 2020, Phoebe was offered a place in NKK NXT, the young artist scheme of the Nederland's Kamerkoor. Through this she became a founder of IMMIX Vocal Ensemble, spent 18 months touring with Wende Snijders throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. Phoebe has had the opportunity to perform as a soloist throughout the United Kingdom and Europe, working with conductors, composers and directors such as James Macmillan, Howard Goodall, Boudewijn Jansen, Peter Dijkstra, Michael Chance and Jac van Steen. Phoebe has sung as a soloist and ensemble member for Holland Opera and looks forward to joining the ensemble of the Nederlands Reisopera in their 2023 production of Das Wunder Der Heliane. As a soloist Phoebe has enjoyed performing as a principal soloist in The Fairy Queen at The Royal Conservatoire in of The Hague, The Matthew Passion at Lincoln Cathedral, concerts of orchestrated Brahms leader in Tivoli Vredenburg and Nieuwe Kerk Den Haag to just name a select number of highlights. Phoebe is also a very versatile singer in style, feeling equally at home as a backing singer at Paradiso Amsterdam, singing with the Nederlands Kamerkoor at a new music premiere or singing Mrs.Grose in a production of Turn of the Screw. Never compromising on quality of performance. A keen artistic maker, Phoebe is also a founder of vocal trio Bitter Blossoms, a vocal trio based out of the Hague, creating folklore performances from England, Scandinavia and Bulgaria. Their debut tour in 2022 was able to boast sell out performances to a number of audiences throughout England and the Netherlands.
