Phil Hulse is an experienced performer, playing unique acoustic versions of classic hit songs. Phil has previously toured the world with different acts and has written songs that have received airplay on BBC national Radio. Phil combines strong, rythmic, percussive acoustic Guitar playing with smooth, beautiful Vocals to make him a perfect choice for either laid back sets, or more upbeat performances! Phil can tailor the songs depending on the occasion and his friendly, engaging persona fits in with all audiences. Phil has a repetoire of songs spanning from the 60s to modern day and is always open to learning specific new songs as long as notice is given prior. Phil also performs with an upbeat function band called 'The Reminders', so he can either be available to play solo, or as part of a party band (or as both if preferred). Phil is always happy to discuss your requirements ahead of your event and his goal is to put on a special performance that gives everybody a great time!

Stayed all day at our Wedding - Performed solo acoustic after the ceremony which sounded fab and went down very well with guests. Very good musician and nothing too much trouble. At night, his band played the evening party and were brilliant with everybody dancing! We were really grateful to Phil for the whole day x

Solo and band package2 hours

A package of performing both solo acoustic sets and 'party' sets as part if the band The Reminders, who play upbeat Pop, Indie classics to fill the dancefloor. Perfect for Weddings and an affordable all day option. Solo acoustic sets can be played at the ceremony and afterwards (if required) and the band can perform at the night evening party. Happy to accommodate to meet the clients needs for the day.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I've been playing for a long time in many different types of acts all around the world, so it's nice when I regularly receive compliments on my Voice and Guitar Playing. My percussive style often draws compliments that it sounds like more than one person is sometimes performing. My song choices often bring compliments as well, played in unique versions.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed all over the world in different acts previously, such as, festivals in Canada, tours of Holland and Scandinavia. Tours all over the UK. I have performed at many Weddings, Private Functions as well.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I love Melodic music, so any artists ranging from Acoustic to Rock and everything in-between with Melodic tones.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

A festival in Canada to 5000 people.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I try to be as flexible as possible, so I just ask that as much notice of any changes be communicated as soon as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, either as part of performances as a solo artist, or as part of the package with the band 'The Reminders'.

How much time do you need to set up?

For solo - minimal time (30 mins approx).

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, you can pick from the repetoire, but with enough advance notice given

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes absolutely.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, with enough notice given, I dm happy to learn any requests.
