In 2003 at 16 I joined Youth Jazz & Big Bands as a saxophonist and ended up performing across the UK and Europe, then in 2005 was when I started working in the duo “Alternate Perceptions” performing as a saxophonist across England at restaurants, pubs and private functions. 2007 I moved to Manchester and found myself performing and doing studio work across the UK, with DJ's, Big Bands, Wedding bands and as a solo act. Since then I have been working regularly with MSH music agency, Genre music consultancy, and freelance as Rusty Keys. My vast experience performing to so many styles, and running my own projects mean that I can tailor the music to exactly what you want to get the party started while keeping you informed every step of the way to help you have a stress free event!

Wow! What can I say! Rusty (Phil) was absolutely amazing. He arrived on time and was really professional and friendly. He managed to get everything set up secretly without my husband knowing as I wanted him to be a surprise! Rusty hand picked the set list from his huge repertoire for me, include our favourite songs and one that Rusty hadn't previously heard but he learned it for me and played it perfectly. What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try to be as flexible as possible with timings, but please let me know soon as possible of any changes so we can adjust accordingly.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. Please let me know in advance and background music can be arranged before and in-between the sets.

How much time do you need to set up?

With a PA set up I will need about 1 hour before the performance time. If I am set up using a small set up (amp and unamplified sax) then I can do this 20 mins before the performance time.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and years of experience to ensure guests have an amazing time. When drafting a set list I will put together a provisional list and send it across to you so we can go through the music choices along with any changes you would like!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, everything!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes Absolutley! If a song isn't in my usual catalogue then please let me know and I will try to source the track for you.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Not only do I organise the music for you keeping you updated to provide a stress free event, I can also roam about on location and create a great vibe that gets the party started!
