Assembled in 2015 with a band of enthusiastic musicians, Pharaoh began as Pharaoh & The Beats - a 6-piece party band with bags of experience performing at weddings, parties, corporate functions, festivals, and even restaurant openings! PATB then expanded their skill set to include performing as a two piece acoustic duo called Pharaoh, perfect for more relaxed, unplugged type deals like wedding breakfasts or baby showers. Hey, why not even give it that magical touch and get sung down the aisle! Pharaoh and PATB cover some of the most iconic songs from a multiplicity of genres, spanning as many as six decades of classic tracks! They also take requests prior to the event, so you can guarantee a few of your personal favs will be played on the night. We hired Pharoah for our wedding reception on Saturday night & they were absolutely fantastic. The set was brilliant, all our guests commented on how good they were. Leanne & Gareth are absolutely lovely & were extremely accommodating throughout the whole experience. We would definitely recommend them for a party & are really glad we chose them for our wedding.

I hired the 2 piece option for a family party after seeing the full band performing locally. However I wasn’t disappointed at all, they were just as amazing. I have to say these are my favourite band, and recommend for any function. If I was aware of them when I got married they would have got the gig. So professional throughout and made it all very easy. What do your clients love most about your performances?

We think they love the fact that we interact with them, we like work off the audience and let them know that we are having as much fun as they are. We also frequently get great comments as individual musicians, which is great as we love what we do!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Some of the venues we have performed at in the past are Hampton Court House, Parklands Quendon Hall, High Barn, Herons Farm, Tuffon Hall, South Farm, to name a few.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

As a covers duo we play a complete variety which is a bit of everything the band like and also that we know the audience will like. We try to include something from each era and we are constantly adding to our repertoire. These influences could be anything from Beyoncé to Tina Turner, from Sam Smith and Bruno Mars to Stevie Wonder.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our standard line up is Vocals and Acoustic Guitar with backing vocals, however we do also have a four, six and 9 piece option available. These options include: 6-piece - Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals, Guitar, Keys, Bass and Drums. We can offer a 9 piece option (to include brass), 4 piece (which excludes backing vocals & keys).

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No problem, please get in contact as soon as you know of any time changes. We understand that things can change for events so we try to be as flexible as we can.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, this is all part of the service and offered for free. We are able to offer an iPod/DJ service via our PA before and between sets and depending on timings we are happy to negotiate later if required.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually allow around 1 hour before performance time to set up and sound check. If you need us to be set up slightly earlier so we are not in the way of guests, then we are happy to discuss this with you and work with you as best we can.

Can you roam around while you perform?

This is not a service that we currently offer.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests are having an amazing time. We are, however, happy for you to voice any major 'No no's' to ensure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes all our PA and lighting is included within the quote and we generally require a minimum of 3 x 3 metres of space to perform.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes we'd be really happy to a unique song you would like played at your event and for free as part of the service.
