Peter Cole

Peter Cole is an award-winning British-Canadian singer-songwriter, jazz pianist, lyricist, and leader of the Peter Cole Trio. Classically trained, he grew up between England and Canada, studied in France, and is now based in London. With his swinging, sophisticated style, punchy piano and suave yet soulful baritone, Peter has played in jazz clubs across the UK and Europe. His trio bring their exuberant energy, sharp suits, and charm to everything from classic songs, rhythm and blues to lush romantic ballads and jazzy takes on modern pop. Inspired by the great American, French and British songwriting traditions, and drawing on influences from indie to folk, Peter is also emerging as a leading singer-songwriter, pianist, and lyricist in the UK. In his career, Peter has shared a stage with Wu-Tang Clan, performed for Sir Ian McKellen, beaten over 8000 other entrants to win the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition, opened for Kool & The Gang and been dubbed ‘a very smart guy — my brother in jazz’ by Cornel West. Previous clients include Harrods, the Mayor of London, and many private clubs across the UK, with multiple five-star reviews: ‘fantastic all around… an outstanding musician and a consummate professional… musically he hit the note of the event perfectly… the perfect mood!” Peter’s upcoming EP, Future Classics Vol. 1, set for release in late 2022, boasts original tunes alongside original adaptations and translations of lesser-known French songs.
