Peter Auty’s tenorial tumescence makes Des Grieux suitably ardent.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

They are all impressed by the sheer power of the Operatic voice. When used to singing against a 60 piece orchestra in a 2000 seat concert hall (5000 if it's the Albert Hall), the impact of my singing in a smaller venue strikes awe into the listeners.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Royal Opera House, Royal Albert Hall, Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall. Bridgewater Hall ,Manchester Fairfield Hall, Croydon Sydney Opera House Usher Hall, Edinburgh Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow London Coliseum Mayflower Theatre, Southampton Symphony Hall, Birmingham Milenium Centre, Cardiff Edinburgh Festival Theatre Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Konzerthaus,

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Placido Domingo- we sang together at Covent Garden and he came to watch me sing at the Coliseum in London.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Singing Nemorino for Glyndebourne Festival Opera, a role and venue of the great Pavarotti. This show was also made into a DVD.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Usually there'd be no problem with slight changes in the schedule as long as reasonable notice is given.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

This doesn't entirely fit with what I offer.

How much time do you need to set up?

Where possible a short rehearsal is necessary to check acoustics, but this can be done hours before if necessary. We'd always want to scout a venue first for suitability.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

We're always happy to accommodate where possible and can take requests off list if given time to prepare.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

If a pianist is required, then we can provide the piano, preferring to use one in situ when possible. If singing with backing track, then we can provide the sound equipment although my singing is always off-mike.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes. anything is possible.
