Paulina Klamut

Hi there and thank you for visiting my page! I'm a classically trained saxophonist, clarinetist and pianist with a Bachelor of Music (hons) degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Whilst at university I regularly performed at many different events. One of the most exciting ones happened in 2019 where I performed with my quartet at the Door Open Day event in Govanhill Baths, for which the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, was in attendance. Also, I have performed as part of pit bands playing both saxophone and clarinet and in January 2020, I played in the Prince Edward Theatre in London as part of the RCS Musical Theatre Showcase. I love the energy of musicals and the thrill of playing for dancers/singers. Prior to university, I worked as a weekend pianist in a local restaurant from the age of 15 to nearly 17. I had a big portfolio of music and chose what to play based on the clientele. For example, if the restaurant had a lot of children I would play songs like the theme from Up but if older people were there to celebrate their birthday I would play some upbeat pop that was in the charts. Now that I'm done with university, I still do similar events but I also enjoy playing at private events. I'm really happy to learn requests, as I think it makes the party more personalised towards you. Recently, I played at a bar mitzvah for which I learned the Hava Nagila and was brought on stage with backing dancers. It was exhilarating.
