Paul Antony Shaw

Paul studied at Salford University, graduating with 1st Class Honours, he majored in Composition and Performance. Since his teens he has worked extensively as a Wedding Pianist, Event Pianist and Keyboard Player in U.K. as well as in countries such as Denmark and Germany. During his time at Salford University he also won the Elgar Howarth Award for Composition. In 2005 Paul co-wrote a huge Dance Track (Luv Is Cool) which was #1 in the Dance charts and record of the week on radio 1(Watch The Videos Below). Since graduating Paul has also lectured in Music at the Manchester College (formerly MANCAT) for 14 years, he holds a Post Graduate Certificate In Academic Practice, and is a member of the Higher Education Authority. At present he teaches Piano at Riffs academy in Marple 3 days a week, as well as continuing to perform on a regular basis. Paul also continues to Arrange and Compose songs in various styles, mostly recently having a Co-Written Classical Crossover track mixed in America by 5 times Grammy winner Brian Vibberts. Paul's repertoire also extends to bespoke arrangements of Classic Dance Anthems such as Children by Robert Miles, and Silence by Delirium ( as liked by Delirium themselves), as well as solo versions of Space Oddity, Starman, My Guitar Gently Weeps, Strawberry Fields, Smalltown Boy, Blue Monday, aswell as Classical / Contemporary works by Einaudi and Yiruma, Palchabel, Bach. Paul will also arrange a bespoke version for solo of a piece of music for your Special Event, in the past for example, this has been a Dance tune arranged for the entrance of the Bride.
