Paul Kowal studied harpsichord from the age of 5 at the Conservatoires of Montpellier (Alain Cahagne), Paris 17th arrondissement (Hilton Wjuniski) and Angoulême (Florence Monzani). Arriving in Scotland in 2017, he studied with Roger Williams in Aberdeen, then at St Mary's Music School in Edinburgh (John Kitchen) and then began his university studies as a performer at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (RBC) (Robin Bigwood). Paul has a passion for historical/contemporary harpsichord repertoire but also for implementing the Harpsichord in EDM (Electronic Dance Music). He plays basso continuo and regularly accompanies the RBC Baroque Ensemble. He is also an organist and a member of the Birmingham Organists' Association.

My clients love my performances for my exceptional technical skill, emotional depth, and captivating stage presence. My mastery of the harpsichord, paired with a diverse repertoire from the 17th and 18th centuries, creates unforgettable experiences. My ability to convey the nuances of each piece and engage with the audience leaves a lasting impression.

I have performed in the King's College Chapel in Aberdeen. I have performed in the French Institute in Edinburgh. I have performed in St Cecilia's Hall in the Russel's Collection Museum in Edinburgh.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

No.

How much time do you need to set up?

If this is not my instrument I would like to test it's keyboard a few days before the event. On the day of the event, I would like 2 to 3 hours to warm up and get ready.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

No.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
