Thanks Paul for playing at my 40th. I had a great night. Paul was very communicative. Gave me a call to discuss the range of songs i was looking for and arrived early to set up so that the other performer before him was not disturbed during their set. Thank you

Paul is the ultimate sax genius. We run a boutique PR agency based in central London. I’ve also booked Paul for private/family events. He’s super adaptable and dynamic in terms of reading the mood of an event. I would highly recommend booking for your next event.

You were amazing! The feedback from everyone from 14 to 76 was the same. Our daughter loves the sax, and I think that showed especially during your rendition of Jubel - goosebumps! We really appreciate all your efforts in making her 18th birthday a night to remember.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I think they love the care that I put into listening to them, and going the extra mile to give them what they are looking for. And they seem to love the sound I make, the style of my playing and the songs I play. But I think the main thing they like is that I really care about making their event special.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I've played at the O2 in London, the Royal Albert Hall, Alexandra Palace... and a back garden in Billericay. The back garden was probably the best :)

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I love old-school pop - Queen, Elton John, Abba. I love the song writing of KT Tunstall and The Feeling. And I love the energy of the Ibiza scene. On the jazz side it's classic artists like Miles Davis, Hank Mobley - and more recent sax players like Jan Garberek, Bob Reynolds (Snarky Puppy) and Chris Potter. Hearing them live will still with me forever.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

It would probably be the O2. I was in the band for a show to mark the centenary of scouting. Huge crowds and a great celebration of all that's best about young people.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely - I actually offer this service for free. If you'd like recorded music via my PA after the final set, this can often be done at an additional charge.

How much time do you need to set up?

I normally need 30-40 minutes to set up for a solo set, but generally get to you earlier than that. A little bit more time is needed to set up a duo or trio.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests have an amazing time. However, I'm definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I do. I bring amplification for my backing tracks, and can bring lights and amplification for the sax if needed.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Absolutely. I love to learn new songs - it just takes a bit of time and money to source a backing track and prepare. There's an extra charge of £50 to cover this.
