Have (hopefully) almost completed a PhD on the origins of the drum kit. I like to listen to early jazz form the 20s, bebop/hardbop from the 50s/60s, Latin boogaloo/salsa from the 60s/70s, anything weird and noisy from any period of time, early R&B, country, prog rock... and I love drumming in these styles, too. I play a lot of washboard in 'americana' bands, I play suitcase drum kit (so can be very portable) or full kit. I've had radio experience (including live broadcast) on BBC 2, 3, 4, and many local stations. National touring, including many UK festivals (Bestival, Boomtown, Wilderness...), international touring experience in North & South America, Europe, China (Jazz Fest Berlin, Oct Loft China...). Function gig experience, can sit in and pick up music very quickly. Good at working with a new groups. Experiences in many genres.
Darley's trombone joins Klein's trumpet to paint "LORA" in jazz sound, bass and drum the only accompaniment for trombone and trumpet solos that sound, in these stark surroundings, lost in deep, far-off jazz space.
