Patrizia Lichtscheidl Music and the violin has always been an integral part of Patrizia's life. With the strong encouragement of her parents, she began playing the violin at the age of 6 under the tutelage of Klara Viski and later Mag.Irene Buchmann. She was accepted at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, in the preparatory class of Mag. Bettina Schmitt and Leonid Sorokow and is currently studying in the class of Mag. Elisabeth Kropfitsch, Primaria of Jess Trio. Believing that music has a myriad of facettes, Patrizia has been expanding her horizons by also receiving coaching and inspiration from Boris Borgolotto, Paula Muldoon, Marco Graziani, Lucia Hall and from the Austrian-Taiwanese Composer Shieh Chieh; By studying abroad for Masters at the prestigious Royal College of Music in London; And by participating in several master classes with Marina Sorokowa , Detlef Hahn, Bartholomew Nizioł and Bijan Khadem- Missagh. During her years of studying she has also been honing her performance skills by playing numerous concerts not only in Austria, but also abroad in Croatia, Hungary, Switzerland, China, Japan, Poland and London. She is well versed in different forms of performances having had chamber music lessons with Stephan Möller, Anna Gutowska, Peter Matzka, Christoph Eggner, Marialena Fernandes, Mark Messenger and Helene Dautry. Patrizia is also an educated orchestra musician and concertmaster. She has played with the Opera Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra of the Royal College of Music, Jeunesse Orchestra of Vienna, Pacific Orchestra of Vienna, Symphony Orchestra of India, Camerata Orphica, Viennese Young Soloists and Webern Symphonie Orchestra.
