Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our clients always love the atmosphere that our music creates. The reactions of people are always positive, making people smile, dance or sing along. Clients often say our music makes them feel like they are on holiday. A regular comment is that we are memorable and they enjoy the wide range of music that we play. Clients really enjoy our unique sound.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have performed professionally for over 30 years combined and have performed in a wide range of venues. Some of these are Ruthin Castle, Oriel Hotel, Aber Falls distillery, Venue Cymru, Kinmel Hotel and spa, Up a Yard Best World food restaurant in Wales winner 2023, Faenol Fawl hotel, the Royal Albert Hall, Midland hotel Manchester, Chester Racecourse.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We love lots of different music and artists but if we had to pick two it would be Stevie Wonder and Bob Marley.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Phil has performed for the Duchess of Westminster at a masked ball, he has also performed in the Royal Albert Hall. As musicians we’ve had lots of exciting opportunities and we have been lucky enough to perform for Queen Elizabeth as well as the 2012 arrival of the Olympic Flame. As a duo we have recently performed at Chester Racecourse to over 1000 people.

Do you have different line-up options?

We are a steel pan and cajon duo but can play at a range of volumes depending on your event and what you require.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always do our best to accommodate any changes and will endeavour to ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If there are any changes in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

This is not something we offer, however we are more than happy to play for up to three hours with no break, thereby removing the need for an iPod/DJ service.

How much time do you need to set up?

It takes us around ten - fifteen minutes to set up and do a sound check. We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time but we are happy to play as soon as we are set up to help to create the atmosphere you want.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Whilst we are unable to move around whilst actually playing, we are able to move to another location between sets quite easily. We do not require electricity so can play in a wide range of settings.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We have a set list of many songs from a range of genre to ensure we have music that everyone will enjoy. You are welcome to select songs from our playlist and we are happy to learn a specific song you request for an extra fee.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We bring our own PA for our performance and our equipment is included in the quote. We usually require a space of 2mx3m to perform.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Absolutely. If a song isn’t in our playlist and will work on a steel pan and cajon, we will learn it for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account the extra rehearsal times etc.
