Jazz Singer and Pianist Have a listen to my demos and I hope you'll get a hint of my influences - Johnny Hartman and Frank Sinatra on the vocals, and a smattering of Nat King Cole and Oscar Peterson on the piano. Old-school jazz and swing are my home turf, and I love breathing new life into the Great American Songbook. I’ve spent the last decade carving out my own corner of London’s jazz scene as a singer, pianist, and bandleader. Whether I’m behind the piano on my own, or joined by a swinging trio or quartet, my aim is always the same: to create an atmosphere that feels sophisticated, soulful, and alive. For nearly a decade I was resident musician at the iconic Savoy Hotel, which was an incredible experience. Playing for such a wide variety of audiences taught me how to read a room and make the music fit the moment. Since then, I’ve had the chance to perform in London’s jazz clubs, just about every five-star venue you can name, and even had the surreal honour of performing for royalty. More recently, I released my debut album, Caught in the Rain, with my trio. It’s a collection of standards and a originals that we recorded in a very intimate way - just piano, vocals, guitar, and bass. I couldn't be happier with the sound, in no small part due to the effortlessly swinging talents of Honey Boulton on guitar and Harry Evans on bass - I'm lucky to play with them both!
