Ollie has been drumming since the age of 10 and grew a passion for it very quickly. At the age of 14 Ollie discovered in order to achieve his drumming goals, he needed to spend more time practising and began to practice for many hours after school and on the weekends sometimes up to 10 hours a day. Ollie's first live performance was at the age of 16, performing YYZ by Rush in front of his whole school year and their parents at school, totalling about 600 people. At the age of 18 Ollie created a band called 'Oakhaart' with his brother who began to write Progressive Metal music.
Whilst this band was in the making Ollie would play gigs with various local bands until his main focus 'Oakhaart' was ready to play shows, hitting the scene in Janurary 2014. Oakhaart's 2nd show was the first heat of Bloodstock Festival's 'Metal to the Masses' competition, which the band ended up winning and also won the subsequent heats, enabling them to play at Bloodstock Festival.
Ollie has some experience teaching privately and playing function gigs but wants to take it a step further by doing it more regularly. He also writes music for his band Oakhaart and also plays guitar at a level where he can write music then pass it over to other guitarists.
