I am a professional guitarist, with over 10 years performing experience in a wide range of musical settings, including solo guitar and small group jazz for wedding receptions, networking evenings, and restaurants. I studied music at the University of Bristol, and have been a full time music teacher and performer since. I specialise in classical repertoire with Brazilian, Latin and Spanish influence, as well as sophisticated and mellow solo jazz guitar arrangements, ideal for background music to welcome guests as they arrive at a wedding reception, or as accompaniment to conversation at dinner. If you prefer something a little more up-beat, then I can also offer a range of combinations of jazz musicians, anything from a guitar and saxophone/singer duo, to a full band including drums and double bass.

My sister recently had her wedding ceremony outdoors, and we got Ollie to play. It was absolutely beautiful. He played a lovely selection of classical music, and his performance really added to the ambiance of the ceremony. Ollie was also very professional and easy to work with. He arrived early and set up quickly, and he was very accommodating of our requests. We would highly recommend Ollie to anyone looking for a talented and professional musician for their wedding ceremony.

Ollie is a professional classical guitarist we engaged to play at an outside drinks reception at our daughter’s wedding. He was very prompt, smartly dressed and played a good selection of classical guitar music over the course of a hour and a half which was a perfect background for the occasion. We were grateful for his contribution to a wonderful day!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I aim to be as flexible as I can be, time changes are a very common occurrence during wedding days.

How much time do you need to set up?

No more than half an hour, including warm up time.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Absolutely! I will normally have a chat with you to ask if you have a specific musical vibe in mind, and I have a set of songs that I will normally play. If you have any particular favourites from the list then just let me know.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, this includes: guitar, (of course!) microphone, amp. I just need a chair!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

No problem at all. In fact, they don't even have to be pieces that are traditionally played on the guitar! If you have any song(s) which mean a lot to you, then I am more than happy to make my own musical arrangements in a classical/jazz guitar style, no extra fee.
