I am a DJ who has been practicing for 7 years with 2 years of live club/bar/event experiencing, specialising in House/Tech and HipHop/RnB/Rap, but my work has allowed me to become much more open format.
I started DJing at age 13 after seeing my brother hold a residency at a club in Bristol, prompting me to learn alongside my passion for house music. DJing is something I have always loved from a young age, and that affinity has only developed with age. Now 20 years old, I have played at a number of venues across the country, including sold out shows and supporting European acts. I want to go as far as I can in the industry, and with the love I have for DJing, I'm sure I can.
This year, I am booked to play at Spring Break Festival out in Amsterdam and I am flying out to Zante for the whole of August with Tropic Events to DJ in some of the biggest clubs and events that Zante has to offer.
As a DJ, it is imperative to me that I am able to read a crowd and feed off of their energy, ensuring that I am able to provide a positive experience to customers while meeting the requirements of the venue. This is a skill that I have developed while playing at live venues, identifying when the crowd may need a rest, or if they react better to a certain sound/genre. Alongside this, I like to make my mixing unique by blending different parts of a track together, typically using an instrumental of one track and vocals of another to create a mashup in order to smoothly transition. In addition to this, wordplay is something as a DJ, I love using! Being able to utilise certain lyrics and tease the next song means the crowd have a new injection of energy which I can then feed off.
From a professional/corporate sense, I have been given a lot of my gigs through my relationship with a number of promoters and club managers, always communicating with them in a professional manner. This has proved beneficial for me as it has allowed me to build good rapport and open me up to new connections that I otherwise wouldn't have had.
I am happy to have a chat with you about any questions you may have, so please don't hesitate to contact me!
