No Sweat is all about good music, good energy, and getting people moving. We’re a covers band made up of experienced musicians who genuinely enjoy playing together and bringing the right vibe to every event. Whether it’s pop, rock, soul or disco, we’re all about making sure the music feels alive and the crowd feels included. The band officially started in Manchester, but the story goes back a bit further. Ricardo and Duda have been playing together for over 10 years. They’ve gigged across Portugal in different projects, from small local events to bigger parties and venues. That long musical friendship gave us a solid base to build something fresh when we moved to the UK. Before the move, we met Joana in Portugal and did one show together. Even in that short time, it was clear she had something special. Her voice has real power and range, but what really stands out is how natural she is on stage. She connects with people without trying too hard and brings a spark that lifts the whole band. When we got to Manchester and decided to get a new project going, she was the first person we thought of. We met João in Manchester and everything clicked right away. He’s a solid, versatile drummer with a great feel for different styles. Just like Ricardo and Duda, João’s been playing for over a decade—gigging all over Portugal from the north to the south in a variety of bands before moving to the UK. His experience shows in how tight and adaptable his playing is, and he brings a calm, steady energy that holds everything together. Together, we formed No Sweat and started building up our set, aiming for a wide range of songs that we could adapt to suit different gigs and crowds. We cover everything from classic 70s and 80s hits to more modern tunes. One night we might be playing disco and funk like ABBA, Prince or Earth Wind and Fire, and the next we’re doing Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse or Harry Styles. We also like switching things up for quieter or more soulful events. We’re flexible and always focused on what works best for the space we’re in. As individual musicians, we’ve all spent years improving our craft. Some of us have played in original bands, done session work, or taught music along the way. We’ve learned to stay professional, show up prepared, and always put the music first. But we also know that a great show isn’t just about being technically perfect—it’s about creating a good atmosphere, being in sync with each other, and making people feel good. At the end of the day, we’re just a group of musicians who love what we do. We’ve built something that feels fun and natural, and that translates when we’re on stage. No Sweat isn’t flashy or over the top. We keep it simple, play the songs people love, and make sure everyone’s having a good time. That’s what makes it work.
