Niina Chamberlain

Niina started her musical journey back in 2006 on the piano and eventually rediscovered her love for the classical harp 2 years later in 2008. She auditioned for a prestigious music school in Manchester with the harp as her first instrument and received an immediate offer after only studying for 9 months. During intensive studies at the music school, she came across the Paraguayan harp and was captivated by the style of music. She managed to receive small amount of temporary training for 3 months, however with no teachers for this kind of harp in England, she was only left to teach herself. With solid musical training for 4 years at Chetham's School of Music, Niina then chose to study classical harp at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2013, still playing the Paraguayan harp on the side. She eventually found that her true heart lied in the Paraguayan harp and decided to devote all her time to learn this particular instrument. In March 2016, Niina made the big step and went to study abroad in Paraguay for a year under one of the greatest maestros of this day, Martin Portillo. After gaining much more knowledge and repertoire, she has now back in the UK and is available for weddings and events. Niina is a talented harpist who can captivate you with her music, full of charm, elegance and emotion in every performance. She arranges all the melodies to suit the atmosphere of any event and will bring happiness to all who listens!
