Electric Guitarist
Falmouth

Nigel originally starting out as a guitarist on the indie scene in North London. This included stints in indie bands, a French covers band and also recording an album with an ‘alt country’ band. During the height of Acid Jazz Nigel developed a love of jazz guitar performing in restaurants in Soho and wedding receptions at venues such as the Royal Academy of Arts. He now lives and works in Cornwall and has been been playing jazz and funk style guitar for the last 20 years. Due to his new found love of Brazilian music he has now added numerous Bossa Nova tunes to his two hour set. Nigel uses a looper to add depth to his solo performance meaning that a full song structure is performed with chords, bass line, melody and rhythm all present. His low volume two hour set is a perfect accompaniment for receptions, private views, small bars, restaurants and any small-medium sized event. His musical influences range from Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Horace Silver to Carlos Jobim, Van Morrison, The Meters, Wes Montgomery. He can shift the vibe from cool and restrained to more upbeat dependent on your needs. Highlights include performing in front of a thousand people Exeter Castle. Nigel is both passionate and professional in everything he does.
