Nicola Bennett

I have been performing on stage since I was a teenager, including fully costumed productions and local concerts. I first started my musical journey when learning the violin, progressing to Grade 2, before taking up the piano to Grade 3. My singing talent has been honed by engaging in a range of musical styles, such as opera, musical theatre, pop, choral, and Christmas (traditional and non-traditional). My favourite role to date has been Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, which I've played on stage three times now, as her coloratura entrance is so exhilarating to sing. I have also enjoyed singing other G&S roles, including Elsie Maynard in Yeoman of the Guard, Josephine in HMS Pinafore, and Casilda in The Gondoliers. Musical Theatre roles have included Julie Jordan in Carousel, Carol Blitztein in Blitz!, and Orin the Dentist in Little Shop of Horrors! I have been nominated for two Curtain Call Awards, have performed at the Royal Albert Hall (Scratch Concert), and on the stage at His Majesty's Theatre.
