After graduating with a Musical Theatre BA (Hons) degree from London Studio Centre, Nicola Anne gained a credible acting agent and began her career performing in various shows throughout London and the UK. Nicola Anne went on to perform as a singer and dancer at Brick Lane Music Hall and it was here that she found her passion, singing songs from the golden era. Having been inspired to create her own 1940’s Vintage Girl Band called ‘My Favourite Things’, she began a joint business venture with her sister which is going from strength to strength. Performing on many stages in London and around the UK at Theatre's, Festivals, Nightclubs, Fairs & Weddings. 'My Favourite Things' have recorded 2 albums, made various radio appearances and are thrilled to now have their own live band too. Nicola Anne also curates the Vintage Marquee at one of the UK’s largest vintage festivals, the Retro Festival which has allowed her to work with some fabulous musicians over the last couple of years. She also gets to work with some of London’s most talented jazz musicians when she works as a soloist too. Nicola Anne thrives in entertaining her audiences with her silky tones and cute moves. You can book her with a three piece band for larger events, her guitarist for a more acoustic vibe or with her pianist for weddings and celebrations. She also comes as a soloist with backing tracks for smaller events. Her repertoire includes jazz classics, as well as the old favourite standards from the wonderful Music Hall era.
