When not performing my own material at music venues and festivals around the country, I regularly play at weddings and corporate functions where the brief is to enhance the atmosphere with with a mix of well known covers, and some less well known but carefully chosen songs and instrumental pieces that lean heavily on jazz, blues, and even classical influences . . . all played at a sensitive volume level that allows guests to enjoy both the music and their conversation. When guests are ready to boogie I've got plenty of upbeat covers up my sleeve too :) If there’s something you’d like me to have a go at then please let me know. I love getting new suggestions – especially the ones that aren’t obvious!

Nick's Reviews

From customers:

Neil W

Nick is an exceptionally talented musician. He made our restaurant rock during Cowes Week

Josh C

Nick has quickly become a regular booking at our venue on Old Street, with a great selection of originals & covers for all to enjoy. He is a very talented musician and this is reinforced by the way he adapts to what can be a very diverse audience. Nick is a pleasure to work with, and we always have great feedback when he pays us a visit. I can happily recommend him to others looking for easy-listening music that will get feet tapping. Nick's Song list

I am constantly adding new songs to my repertoire and am very happy to learn new songs for a specific event. I use a loop pedal to make the guitar playing a bit more interesting and I frequently play chilled instrumental pieces as a change from singing. Everything I play is 'live' and I don't use karaoke type backing tracks. Here are some of the songs that people seem to like.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I'll always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. Can happily do this. If you'd like a full-on DJ service via the PA after my final set, I can do this for an additional £150

How much time do you need to set up?

With my small amp, 10 - 15mins. With the full PA around 30 - 45 mins.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests have the best possible time. I tend to adjust what I play throughout the course of the event - to reflect volume levels, atmosphere, etc.. However, I'm definitely happy to chat through some ideas before the event to ensure you get what 's going to work best.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes - absolutely!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there's a special song you'd like me to learn (and I think I can do it justice!) I'll be delighted to do this. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
