Born to British parents in Canada, Nick began his musical career at the age of 6 when he joined the esteemed Men and Boys choir at his local church in Ottawa, the capital of Canada. At that time, he also began studying the piano, for which he attained a Level 7 from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Nick began playing the trumpet at age 11 and excelled quickly, studying the instrument at a specialist Arts high school. Nick then began a joint bachelors degree in Trumpet Performance at the Universities of Toronto and Ottawa. Nick has had the opportunity to play and record with some amazing musicians, including the National Arts Centre Orchestra, Doc Severinsen, the Barenaked Ladies, the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra, Delbert Nelson, J.W. Jones and many more. Nick has been able to tour Canada, UK, US, Ireland, France and recently finished touring Germany and Switzerland on a 6 month run of Grease The Musical. Apart from performing professionally, Nick also teaches private lessons both at his home studio and in conjunction with the Sunnyside Music School. As well as the trumpet, Nick is also a singer, being a professional Counter-tenor lead and also a mentor and instructor for the boys at the National Cathedral in Ottawa (Christ Church). Nick is now making use of his UK passport and moving to London, to experience everything that great city has to offer, and to continue growing as a musician and human being.
