My name is Najwa, I am a British based French-Moroccan Soulful Event Singer and Songwriter from Dijon, Burgundy. I perform a unique blend of musical styles ranging from Jazz, Soul, Funk to Modern Pop and even Ceremonial Music. Music plays a pivotal role in my life and I love to help provide the very best entertainment possible for an outstanding and memorable event. I have vast experience as a professional singer of 15 years: - TV Work (The Voice France 3 – Team Mika, s.Oliver commercial for Winter Collection), - In House Residences (Palm Beach Casino – Mayfair, Boisdale Restaurants - Bishopsgate and Mayfair), - Corporate Parties, PR Events (Turkey, Holland, UK) - Music Festivals in France, UK and Bulgaria (Orleans Jazz Festival, Chanson Francaise, Belfort Festival, Sozopol Annual Festival...) - Wedding Receptions and Celebrations, (including intimate gatherings right up to 1000 revellers!) - Wine Bars and Jazz Cafes (Boisdale Canary Wharf, Jazz Cafe Camden, Pizza Express Soho Jazz Club), - 5 Star Hotels (The Ritz London, Dorchester London, Sofitel Marrakesh Hotel, Hilton Bosphorus Istanbul) - Nursing Homes (Nellsar Surrey, Bupa Surrey, Sunrise Surrey, etc...) My musical career started whilst in university with jazz, gospel and funk. I went on to study with The Singall Gospel Mass Choir and Opera singer David Robbe. In the UK I took singing lessons with the excellent The Voice UK vocal coach Juliet Russell. I have performed as a solo artist and as part of various bands in the UK, France and Morocco. I have collaborated with and supporting various exciting and renowned UK and international artists such as: - Fred Wesley (James Brown Trombonist), - Bumcello, Vincent Delerm, - Juan Carmona, - Mic Donet (The Voice Germany) - Monsieur Charles.
