Nadanai Laohakunakorn is a scientist, pianist, and repétiteur with a particular interest in vocal music. He currently works at the Institut Stimmkunst opera studio in Zurich. Born in Bangkok, he has worked as assistant conductor for productions of Madama Butterfly (2007), Carmen (2010), and Tosca (2011) with Opera Siam, Thailand's first professional opera company, where he also had the opportunity to conduct the Thailand premiere of Holst's Savitri (2010). During his studies he worked on student productions of Don Giovanni (2008, 2014), The Cunning Little Vixen (2013), and Le Pauvre Matelot (2013). His pianistic repertoire includes concertos by Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky, and he has appeared as a soloist with the Siam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Siam Sinfonietta, as well as performing regular chamber music recitals. At EPFL, Nadanai is pursuing postdoctoral research in cell free synthetic biology; previously he completed a PhD in biophysics and an undergraduate degree in natural sciences at Trinity College, Cambridge.

Son répertoire pianistique comprend des concertos de Rachmaninoff et Tchaïkovski, et il s’est produit comme soliste avec l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Siam et le Siam Sinfonietta, aussi bien que dans beaucoup de récitals de la musiquede chambre.
