London based singer/songwriter and DJ, Nigel Thomas has been singing all his life, and has performed all over the world, from Australia to Hawaii. He divides his time between recording and releasing his own acclaimed music and entertaining crowds by playing or DJ'ing at weddings, birthdays and other functions and is experienced, friendly and professional and has a proven track record of successful parties with delighted brides, grooms and birthday party people. His more recent solo album ‘Well Well’ was released on 13th September 2019 by Keo Records. It was recorded in Southampton at Hightown Studios by Tali Trow with some of the best session musicians in the country. An original oil painting for the album artwork was specially painted by Eddie Argos from Art Brut. The album was mixed by Sam Williams (Plan B, Gaz Coombes etc) and is available on heavyweight vinyl, CD and download. As the lead singer and songwriter for indie rock band The Foxes, Nigel enjoyed several UK Indie Chart top ten hits, toured the world and recorded and released an acclaimed album mixed by John Cornfield (Supergrass, Razorlight, Muse) at Sawmills Studios in Cornwall. After The Foxes disbanded, Nigel took the solo road, and to great success. Counting among his fans Mike Batt (who asked Nigel to sing in a special one-off performance of his new musical ‘Men Who March Away’ in 2017) Blur's Dave Rowntree and Indie mogul Alan McGee, Nigel followed the success of his first single "Fever" and released his debut full length album 'Travelling Man' (recorded at Tilehouse Studios by Luke Oldfield (Mike's son) and mastered by John Davis (Led Zeppelin, Lana Del Rey, U2, Kaiser Chiefs) at Metropolis) to critical acclaim in March 2016, enjoying TV and radio support.

Nigel was excellent, easy to deal with, flexible to fit in with our arrangements. Many of our guests were very complimentary about his performance. Overall I would recommend him. He got people up singing and dancing.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

It's usually not a problem just let me know! I'm also flexible on the day if things run late and stage times need to be shuffled around.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I do this alot! I can offer either a popular playlist of songs between sets or for a fee, my professional DJ service 'till the end of the night.

How much time do you need to set up?

Usually about an hour or so depending on the load-in and set-up.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

You're more than welcome to select your favourite songs from my playlist as well as let me know if there's any songs you'd rather I didn't play. I'd always suggest you rely on my years of experience to guide the set but as much or as little input as you'd like to put in is welcome!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I'll bring absolutely everything, from my professional PA system to stage lights. All my equipment is high-end and PAC tested. All I need are some electrical sockets and an audience with their dancing shoes on.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If there's a special song you'd like I can certainly look into playing it for you - I'd only ever perform it if I felt I could do a really good version and would discuss this with you.
