Performing across the South West of England and beyond, MyOfficeToday continue to surprise their audience with creative mash-ups as well as original renditions of some classic tunes. Formed in 2022 after Alessandra (vocals) joined Fil (guitar) on stage as a surprise guest for his band. Soon afterwards they decided to set up an upbeat acoustic duo, performing a fresh and bubbly selection. MyOfficeToday have insatiable chemistry, combining irresistible groovy guitar parts with incredible vocal harmonies. Their passion for music comes alive on stage, and during their gigs crowds can't help it but join in with the singing! Alessandra’s familiarity with music started at an early age, since her father was singing in a local band in Florence (Italy). Listening to ACDC, Queen, Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Pink Floyd, she started to study a wide range of vocal techniques. This led her to becoming lead singer in the funky-dance/acid jazz cover band Sofia Hammond Quartet, now SOFIA (2012 - 2020), singing in the acoustic duo ‘The Robinooda’s' (2014 - 2018), gigging at numerous venues (pubs, clubs, street events, weddings) all over Tuscany and Liguria (Italy). She also joined a musical chorus company in Florence, finding confidence to perform an entire show featuring Broadway and Disney tunes. Fil also started his musical career at an early age in the north of Italy (Bergamo). His first experiences as a guitar player with local bands, such as (Shyva) who won a local TV talent show in the early 2000’s, were fundamental in forging his musicianship. He relocated to the UK shortly thereafter, where he has continued his activity as a guitar player over the years in cover bands in the South of the UK (The Giant Leaps, The 7-8-9s) and as a session musician for other bands (Moon Rivers, The Opportunity, The Funkdamentals).
