Bethany always enjoyed playing music from a very young age where she learnt piano and then went on to learn guitar. She enrolled into various musical productions and found a true love for singing and performing. She went on to learn the ukulele and continues to enjoy bringing her various instruments into her performing. Bethany and her brother Galen have played music together from a very early age. Galen found his love for drumming from the age of 10, and later decided to study at Brighton Institute of Modern Music; where he completed his degree in Professional Musicianship. He brings percussion to Bethany's music, and adds those catchy rhythms and foot tapping beats that can get any audience nodding along! Galen is also in charge of sound to ensure complete quality and a pleasant listening experience is achieved. Bethany and Galen enjoy working together; and their connection and rapport with the music, and each other is a pleasure to watch. Together they are an engaging duo, and a pair not to be missed!

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is as follows: Vocals, Guitar, Keys, Drums.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free with an ipod, but after the set has finished we won't be able to play recorded music till the end of the event.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can you roam around while you perform?

No ,with our set up this wouldn't be possible.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our energy and well known songs! They also love that we're brother and sister and the rapport that comes with that.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

lots of weddings, parties, pubs - a real mix! We're up for lots of events that need live music!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I think it's a whole bunch really - one us grew up listening to loads pop and the other very much influenced by rock - I'll let you guess which way round!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Hmmm, I guess some of the corporate gigs in London would definitely be up there along with a private festival in Warwickshire, and late night house party in Notting Hill.

Bethany Jane and bro played at our Covid secure wedding in August and they were simply fantastic. They were so flexible, kind and thoughtful through the whole planning process, adapting to constant Covid legislation changes, not to mention a last minute venue change! They made what was a stressful period so much easier and we can’t thank them enough for this. Their acoustic sets adapted throughout the day from pleasant background music to throwback bangers in the evening, everyone commented how beautiful the music was. We can’t recommend Bethany Jane and Bro enough! Thanks again both for making our day so special. Love Abby and Chris x

Bethany Jane and bro played at our wedding in early March and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and believe they made our day as special as it was. We knew we wanted live music at our wedding as we believe it makes for a more intimate memorable day but I didn’t realise how exceptional it would be with Bethany and Galen. Bethany sang in our ceremony which was the best decision I made on the wedding! It completely transformed the mood of the room and added to that unique moment of becoming husband and wife. We had an acoustic set for our reception drinks and canapés which our guests really enjoyed and commented that the songs (all from the set list) were perfect for the occasion and mood. For the evening they played some absolute bangers that got everyone on the dance floor from the beginning right until the end. It made such a difference as I know a DJ or less talented/ charismatic band would have completely changed the dynamic and energy of the evening. I am so grateful we were able to book Bethany Jane and bro. Best decision we made. Lucy and Sam Smith xx
