Living proof that folk music from the British isles isn't boring, twee or irrelevant. Murphy's Lore Trio will get toes tapping from the opening bars. From that point on, there is a real risk of enjoyment: tapping toes become stamping feet, clapping hands soon follow. before long guests are dancing the night away, whilst others are enjoying the interplay of male and female voices, fiddle, whistle, bouzouki, bodhran, guitar, tenor guitar and mandolin all delivered with pace, passion and sensitivity. Already a firm favorite around the local pub, club and festival scene, Murphy's Lore Trio are gaining popularity at every event.

Do you have different line-up options?

The Trio formed as a spin off from the successful Murphy's Lore Ceilidh Band. Alex and Noeleen also perfom as "A Half of Murphy's" The Trio line up is: Female and Male lead vocals, Fiddle, Whistle, Guitar, Tenor guitar, Mandolin, Bouzouki, Stomp Box and Bodhran.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We endeavor to be flexible to ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. We always recommend prompt communication to avoid disappointment, so keep us in the loop and we'll work with you to create a memorable event. This also applies during the event as well.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can certainly provide background music whilst the PA is set up. Preferably this will be on our own equipment so that we can check that there's no compatibility issues beforehand.

How much time do you need to set up?

Our usual set up and soundcheck is an hour before performance time. Please note that the soundcheck is an essential part of getting ready to perform for your event. Volume levels will be at performance levels so may interfere with other parts of your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our own PA and stage lighting is included in your quote. If you require equipment that we cant provide,we will notify you as soon as possible and work with you to ensure that suitable equipment is obtained or hired.
