With two lead vocalists leading the charge, supported by a dynamic lineup of bass, guitar, keys, drums, saxophone, and trumpet, our band is ready to bring the house down with a repertoire that includes iconic hits like ‘Think’, ‘Higher Ground’, and ‘Papa Was a Rollin' Stone’. From classic tunes like ‘Say A Little Prayer’ to infectious dance-floor fillers like ‘Super Freak’, ‘September’, and ‘Everybody Dance’, our setlist promises non-stop entertainment and good vibes all night long. So get ready to sing, dance, and groove to the best that Motown, and its neighbouring genres have to offer with our dazzling, fun, and professional band! Motown Luxe can also deliver their stellar performance in a 6-piece lineup with 2 x lead vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and keys. Motown Luxe is fronted by Rachel and Reniece to unite as the dynamic vocals of the stage. Rachel, a seasoned vocalist, boasts a rich repertoire of performances across various platforms, from theaters to cruise ships, captivating audiences with her versatile voice and magnetic stage presence. With notable roles in acclaimed productions like ‘The Magic of Motown’ and ‘The Diana Ross Story’, Rachel's talent shines through, effortlessly embodying iconic female leads. Her cruise ship experiences have further honed her craft, while her engagements in function gigs and charity events underscore her commitment to entertaining diverse audiences with her bubbly persona and vibrant performances. Reniece, with over a decade of experience in the live music industry, complements Rachel's prowess with her own illustrious career. From captivating performances also with ‘The Magic of Motown’ to sharing the stage with music legends like Justin Timberlake and Gwen Dickey, Reniece's journey reflects a dedication to excellence in vocal artistry. Her international endeavors on cruise ships and collaborations with renowned choirs like the London Community Gospel Choir underline her versatility and skill. Reniece's engagements with function bands nationwide further showcase her ability to captivate audiences with her soulful voice and dynamic performances. Together, Rachel and Reniece create an electrifying musical experience that resonates with audiences worldwide. Rachel, Reniece, and their ensemble of skilled musicians create a harmonious blend of soulful melodies and rhythmic beats that leave audiences in awe. Martyn lays down the grooves with his bass guitar expertise, backed by years of experience across various musical genres. Rax brings his skills on guitar, infusing each performance with his expert style. Kevin’s mastery of the keys adds depth and richness to the sound, cultivated through years of collaboration with gospel groups and top artists. David holds the rhythm steady with his drumming finesse, boasting over two decades of experience across multiple musical styles. The brass section, led by Eve on saxophone and Colin on trumpet, adds a vibrant flair to the ensemble's sound, elevating every performance to new heights. Together, this talented lineup delivers unforgettable performances that resonate with audiences of all ages and tastes. Motown Luxe welcomes you to tailor the setlist for your big day. For a standard 2x60mins or 3x40mins performance you can suggest up to 32 songs from the band’s song repertoire, and the band will endeavour to accommodate all of your requests, given a month’s notice. For short notice bookings, you are still very welcome to send over your suggestions, and as always, the band will do their utmost to accommodate as many requests as possible. Motown Luxe is also very happy to learn an ‘off the menu’ song request for you, for example, a first dance or your favourite song. Upon booking, you will have a dedicated band manager as your point of contact to ensure the band is 100% on the same page as you well in advance of your event. Having this point of contact means you can count on excellent, fast, friendly, and warm communication at all times. It also means that come the big day every single crease will be ironed out and it will mean smooth sailing for both client and band alike. All in all, Motown Luxe’s band members are a very friendly and flexible bunch and take great pride in providing excellent musicianship and creating a really fun atmosphere wherever they go. The band has a big long list of songs spanning different genres and decades for you to pick from and can play complimentary playlist music (which you are welcome to tailor) before, in-between, and after live sets until curfew. The band can be on-site for up to 7 hours, or until midnight as standard. They are happy to accommodate early arrivals before 5pm and late stays after midnight if needed too. The band is also able to provide a band member DJ-ing should you wish to have a live DJ before, between, or after band sets. The band brings a full PA and lighting rig with them wherever they go, so all you need to do is book the band and you can tick the entertainment off your to-do list in one fell swoop because Motown Luxe will have you covered.
