I am a 27 year old drummer living around Derbyshire/Staffordshire. I have been drumming for 18 years and teaching drums for 12 years. In 2013 I achieved a distinction in Grade 8 drums. I have had 15 years experience playing in live and studio situations, and have played festivals in the UK and Austria, including Bloodstock Festival. It is worth mentioning that, during the 6 months when I was having chemotherapy for Cancer, in 2012, I still managed to play over 40 gigs during my treatment - one of my proudest achievements. Music is my favourite thing in the world! I honestly couldn't live without it. I was brought up on the likes of Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, Leftfield, and Glenn Miller. I appreciate all genres, and enjoy either helping compose music, or playing written parts whilst also adapting/evolving them (provided I have permission of course). I work well with or without a click track, in a live or studio environment. I am an enthusiastic and explosive live performer, and work very well with all types of people on and off the stage. I am a proficient improvisor and am quick to learn rhythms and melodies of any calibre. I look forward to working with new musicians and creating new friendships!

As any good drummer will tell you a shuffle groove is not an easy thing to play well! As Jeff Procaro wonderfully demonstrated on Rosanna! On this song a particular shuffle was required. It was 11pm and this man was out to dinner with his girlfriend. But being the absolute legend that he is Morgan Pettigrew, got in his car drove for an hour, listened to the song on the way, made some notes on a scrap piece of paper, walked into the studio and nailed it in one go! I made him play it twice just so I could film him. I knew I was in safe hands when he smiled after I asked him if he played the hi hat pattern with 1 hand or 2! An absolute legend and phenomenal drummer.
